This suggested itinerary is for Africa enthusiasts who want to spend ample time in some of Zambia's most picturesque wildlife reserves: Kafue National Park and Lower Zambezi National Park, which for a long time remained largely untouched by tourism. You'll experience extensive wildlife viewing on game drives in specially equipped safari vehicles, on walking safaris, and on boat trips – a particularly immersive experience as you glide almost silently across the water, allowing you to approach the wildlife almost unnoticed. Depending on the season, an optional stay in the remote Busanga Plains, renowned for their lions, cheetahs, and leopards, is also possible.

The concentration of wildlife around the Luangwa River in South Luangwa National Park is one of the highest in all of Africa. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, leopards, buffalo, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, and much more. Huge colonies of scarlet bee-eaters overwinter on the sandy escarpments of the river. A walking safari, in addition to traditional game drives, remains the best way to experience this wild and untouched nature. You will undertake several game drives each day and night.
